Why do you disobey? 🤔

📅 The Bible does not give a date for Jesus’ birth nor instruct Christians to celebrate it.- The holiday has connections to Roman festivals like Saturnalia, which were celebrated around the winter solstice. ❄️
Easter celebrates Jesus’ resurrection, which is indeed a Biblical event (found in the Gospels: Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20). 📖 However, the Bible does not specify an annual festival to commemorate it.- Some customs associated with Easter, such as the Easter Bunny and Easter eggs, have origins in pagan spring festivals that celebrated fertility and rebirth. 🐰🥚
Halloween’s origins can be traced back to the Celtic festival of Samhain, a time when people believed the boundary between the living and the dead became blurred. 👻 This is not a Biblical concept.- The Bible does warn against practicing pagan customs and engaging in activities that involve invoking spirits or witchcraft (see Deuteronomy 18:10-12). 🔮

Deuteronomy 12:29-32:

> When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations whom you go in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, take care that you be not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way, for every abominable thing that the LORD hates they have done for their gods, for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods. Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. You shall not add to it or take from it. 📜

– Jeremiah 10:2-3:

> Thus says the LORD: “Learn not the way of the nations, nor be dismayed at the signs of the heavens because the nations are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are vanity.” 🌍

– 2 Corinthians 6:14-17:

> Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? These references underscore the idea of avoiding the adoption of customs from non-Biblical traditions and focusing on worship practices directly instructed by scripture. 📖

As for Easter, it is somewhat biblical, but it also involves bunnies with an egg obsession from pagan fertility festivals! 🐰🥚

And Halloween? It’s essentially a smorgasbord of Celtic spirit summoning, which the Bible seems to disapprove of. 🎃👻
